Kathy Kakiga is an Art Director with a passion for integrated design, storytelling, and creating visual worlds that connect brands with people on an emotional level. Born in Hannover, Kathy discovered her creative voice early on through photography, painting, and dance. Over the years, this sensitivity to rhythm, movement, and composition became the foundation for Kathy’s unique approach to design.
Kathy’s academic journey led her to the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim (HAWK), where Kathy earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Design. During these studies, Kathy sharpened the creative process and developed a strong focus on branding, advertising, and digital communication. Kathy gained hands-on experience working with renowned agencies such as Jung von Matt/next Alster in Hamburg and HUisHU in Hannover, learning how to translate bold ideas into coherent brand experiences across digital and print platforms.
What sets Kathy apart is the ability to merge strategy with creativity. Kathy doesn’t simply design; Kathy crafts integrated campaigns that balance aesthetics with clear brand positioning. From typography to moving image, from concept development to execution, Kathy combines precision with intuition.
As an Art Director, Kathy thrives at the intersection of creative direction, digital storytelling, and brand identity. Kathy’s work reflects a balance of analytical thinking and artistic sensibility, making Kathy a versatile partner for agencies and brands seeking a strong visual narrative.
Driven by curiosity and inspired by culture, Kathy continues to explore new tools and creative technologies, including AI-driven design platforms like Midjourney. Kathy sees design not as decoration, but as a language that shapes how audiences experience brands and ideas in a connected world.
